TVU Player Review

The TVU Player app allows you to stream live TV to your iphone and it’s great. Previously on computers there was a program called TVU Player and it did the same things as the iphone version but was a bit more advanced and easy on the eye. Now it’s here on the iPhone and people are raving about it, overall the streaming quality isn’t bad, the buffeting rate is good and the overall use is pretty good. Obviously you need a wifi connection since your streaming live TV but it’s not something I could see people doing as they walk down the street so it’s fine.

The app has over 200 stations in melbourne, AU and I apparently don’t have anywhere near them all so i’m guessing the UK and US would have the most channels avalibe. Another great thing is the app is free, so there’s no need to go buy a $5-$10 app although I think it would be worth about $7 if it wasn’t free.

Overall I’d give it a 9/10 for TV and entertainment, I only wish it had the sign in feature like on computers and an alert so you get a text/email/buzz when a show is on that you want to watch.
